I have loved architecture and design ever since I was a child. Upon opening my first design firm, I soon came to realize there was so much confusion on how the process should work because every firm seemed to do things differently. In an industry, notorious for missing timelines and budgets, and where most design and construction firms were separate companies, I wanted to change the game. I firmly believe that a well designed home, will be an easier home to build and serve our clients better in the future. At Cornerstone, we are a design lead construction firm and that means that we are thinking about how our clients will live in the space, even when we're first putting walls on paper. Our success has been founded upon this key pillar, if it's well designed and well built, our clients will be happy.

My priority as your designer is to create a beautiful and timeless space that evokes warmth and personality with carefully curated materials and classic pieces.
I have a knack for finding "the right" piece.
After my BAH at Queen's University, I went on to study Interior Design at Ryerson and have since worked down town Toronto for luxury art and furniture retailers, and most recently, high-end residential and commercial design firms. I look forward to working with you!
Lauri Robitaille
Project & Marketing Manager
My background in project management, event design and marketing combined with a love for interior design has led me to be highly effective in coordinating our projects. I pride myself on creating genuine connections with all of our clients. It is such a joy to work in collaboration with our team of exceptional designers and builders. To be surrounded by colours, textures and textiles every day is so inspiring to stay creative and forward thinking.

I take a lot of pride in high quality work and craftsmanship. Maybe it's my Italian roots but I always aim to treat our clients like family, and respect their home as if it was my own. We never cut corners and believe in accurate quoting and problem solving to ensure that our clients can get the most out of their budget. I have also learned how to speak "designer" and can translate at any time ;).

Who we hire always goes through the same filter. 1) Is their quality of work up to our standards? and 2) Would we trust them in our own homes with our kids? My job is to ensure the quality we guarantee is carried out everyday on site and ensure that our clients are happy and informed as to the progress on their addition, build or renovation.
